LOCAL INTEREST

Living in one of the most diverse places in the world; having been directly involved in many aspects of urban life and its institutions; has provided a close up view of issues that face us and the people involved. There are those that make headlines while others rarely, if ever, are addressed by media.

Home and base pf operation is Brooklyn, NY, with primary focus in the southern section. Involvement with those in the diverse communities in the area has provided the opportunity to create relationships with people of varied backgrounds and perspectives. This is where I’m closest to the action and sometimes part of it, allowing the ability to provide firsthand accounts.

Additionally, education and travels have taken me to additional parts of the country and abroad, providing further perspectives and expanded comprehension.

Most living or working in the area will be acquainted with issues, organizations and people in this section. Many issues affect those living throughout New York City while several tend to be more widespread. Wherever you are however, you might find some of the organizations and people interesting and issues familiar.
